Yesterday, I read an article which tried to claim that rising egg prices are the result of price gouging by evil capitalist egg manufacturers.... which explanation raised a few red flags, but that's too obvious to get into here.
Anyway, I left a comment on this article to the effect that, having raised egg prices, Their next move will be to crack down on backyard chickens, "possibly ostensibly because they spread disease."
Hours later, HOURS LATER, my husband sent me a link to a Fox article about the disease hazards of backyard chickens.
Here's the sad thing. I don't even feel smart. I just know a little bit about Their general approach, and that's largely though not solely thanks to James Lindsay.
The only benefit of anticipating this development by a few hours was that I could tell my husband, Don't panic, it's just Them, carry on as usual.
1) There is a huge difference between a man wearing a dress and a man wearing a skirt made for men, such as a kilt. I have seen plenty of both.
2) Tarot is basically counseling with pagan trappings.
3) By far my favorite costume that I saw today consisted of a man wearing a canvas gardening hat with a Burger King crown fitted over it.
